William Snyder

William J. Snyder, 73, died of natural causes Dec. 29 at 8:17 a.m. in his residence in West Wyomissing.
He was the husband of Dorothy V. (Hassler) Snyder.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late James W. and Henrietta (Putt) Snyder.
Snyder was employed as dye setup by Willson Products Inc., Reading, and was last employed in the smelting department by Exide Corp., Muhlenberg Township, until his retirement.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Snyder was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Shillington.
He is also survived by two sons, James W., Quakertown, Bucks County, and David A., Pine Grove, Schuylkill County; and a daughter, Donna Lynn (Snyder) Hummel, Pine Grove.
Other survivors include a sister, Chloe (Snyder) Ely, Wernersville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Rev. Dr. Alfred K. Schwerdt officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
