William Mierzejewski

August 5, 1931 — March 11, 2018

William A. Mierzejewski "Bill Morris" 86, of Waverly Street, Shillington, formally of Spruce Street, Reading, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 11, 2018 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara (Nally) Mierzejewski, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of Konstanty and Victoria (Pierkowski) Mierzejewski. Bill worked for Clark Equipment Co. for over 20 years as an assembler. He then ventured into Real Estate with John Monahan Real Estate for many years until transferring to Remax of Reading, retiring with over 24 years of selling. Bill served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1948-1951. Bill was a 32nd degree Masonic life member of the AA Scottish Rite. He was a lifetime member of the Reading Elks, American Legion, VFW, Washington Fire Co., and many social clubs in Reading. He is survived by his 7 children; John Mierzejewski, husband of the late Maureen of Shillington, with whom he resided; William Mierzejewski Jr., husband of Elsa of Sinking Spring; Christine Kerchner, wife of Terry of Alburtis; Robert Mierzejewski, husband of Liz of St. James City, Florida; Thomas Mierzejewski of Sinking Spring; Edward Mierzejewski, husband of Maryann of Reading; and Michael Mierzejewski, husband of Candice of Stevens. Bill had five loving sisters and many nieces and nephews, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and still going.
Services are to be held at the convenience of the family.
