William A. Hoy, 90, of Bern Township, passed away August 8, 2016 in his residence.
He was the widower of Ruth E. (Stoudt) Hoy, who passed away in 2014.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John Franklin and Florence E. (Kramer) Hoy.
Mr. Hoy was an US Army veteran serving during World War II and was employed as a truck driver for Mason Dixon.
Survivors include daughter Marie E. Hoy at home; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings Richard Hoy, Dorothy McClatchie and Edna Hoy. He was preceded in death by his son Michael W. Hoy in 2013.
In earlier years, William enjoyed going to the Reading Fairgrounds to watch the races, NASCAR, building model airplanes and loved his cat Triplex and dog Molly.
Services will be held in Laureldale Cemetery Chapel, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00am, Rev. Paul L. Jones to officiate.
