William B. Eddy, 87, of Reading, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he had been a patient since April 5th. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William Eddy and Helen I. (Bowman) Eddy, and widower of the late June A. (Fidler) Eddy.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran during World War II, and was employed as a line worker for Met Ed for 37 years, retiring in 1982. He is survived by a son: William H. Eddy of Hyde Park; son in law: Rodney Dietrich; six grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was pre deceased by daughters: Asenath Lee (Eddy) Morgan, who passed away in 1991, and Deborah S. (Eddy) Dautrich, who passed away in June of 2008.
