Westley Hulshizer

Westley P. A�a�A"Candy ManA�a�A� Hulshizer, 81, Temple, died Dec. 11, 2006, at 8:30 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Laureldale, where he had resided for eight years. He was the husband of Alvira C. Quinn of Temple.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Westley S. and Rita L. (Goldman) Hulshizer.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Hulshizer had been employed for 30 years as a concreter and timberman by the former Grace Mines in Morgantown, a division of Bethlehem Steel, retiring in 1983.

He also is survived by two stepchildren, Carol J. (Quinn) Tobias, Reading; and Robert J. Quinn, Temple.

Other survivors include five stepgrandchildren, five stepgreat-grandchildren and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc., Reading, with the Rev. John P. Boyce officiating. Friends will be received Friday from noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
