Walter Marz

Walter G. Marz, 83, of Temple, passed away November 10, 2009 at 6:12 pm in Mifflin Center. He was the husband of the late Miriam T.(Vogel)Marz. Born in Brooklyn Kings County, NY, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth(Orschiedt)Marz. Mr. Marz was employed as a metallurgist for NGK Metals and later was a self employed painter and paperhanger. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the Old Timers Basketball Organization and Green Valley Country Club. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Beth Schoellkopf of Sinking Spring, Susan E. Polick of Pittsburgh, Kathleen A. Rahn of Florida and his sons, Christopher G. Marz of Angola, Africa and Patrick J. Marz of Arizona along with 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
