Virginia H. Swanson, 76, Cumru Township, died of natural causes March 17 at 12:42 p.m. in Reading Hospital.
Her husband, Gustav A. Swanson, died in 1973.
Born in Fleetwood, she was a daughter of the late Kermit L. and Kathryn L. (Foose) Hartman.
Swanson had been employed for 32 years in purchasing by AT&T Reading Works, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in August 1987.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood.
Swanson was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 10 years in the Glenside and Greenfields area.
She is survived by a brother, Gary A. Hartman, Fleetwood; and two sisters, Mary Jane (Hartman) Chulick, Laureldale, and Gail A. (Hartman) Kemmerer, Shoemakersville.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements
