Violet M. Brown, 79, of Pine Street, died July 25 at 8:43 a.m. in the emergency room at St. Joseph Medical Center.
She was taken to the medical center from Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, West Reading.
She was the wife of Charles W. Brown.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John and Katherine (Herbert) Hause.
Brown was employed as a binder by Y.B. Yocom Cigar Co., Reading, retiring in 1947.
She is also survived by a brother, William H. Hause, Reading.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Interment in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton. Friends may call Monday 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
