Thomas Sparks, Sr

Thomas R. Sparks, Sr., 57, of Earl Township, passed away September 29, 2011 at 2:35 pm in St. Joseph Medical Center. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Pamela J. (Harding) Sparks. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Clarence Guy and Margaret Irene (Galleger) Sparks. He was a 1972 graduate of Boyertown High School, a graduate of Lancaster Bible College and attended Millersville University. He served in the United States Army during peacetime. Mr. Sparks was the owner of Sparks Wood Refinishing in Boyertown. He was a loving father to Thomas R. Sparks, Jr. at home and T.J. Sparks of Muhlenberg Township. He was preceded in death by his daughter Amy Beth (Sparks) Howry, August 28, 2008. Also surviving are his siblings Ronald, Robert, Jerry and Charles Guy Sparks, Charlotte Nye, Beverly Day, Sandra Haffer, and was preceded in death by his sister Janet Sowers. In addition he is survived by his favorite nephews Kevin and Kelly Sparks of West Virginia and his close friend Allen Hawk of Oley. Family and friends may gather at Kutztown Renningers Market(White Room), 740 Noble Street, Kutztown, PA 19530, Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 1-3:00 pm to pay their respects to the family. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations will be accepted by the family to defray funeral expenses.
