Theodore J. Celmer, 75, Reading, died Oct. 21 at 8:10 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient since Sept. 27. His wife, Patricia A. (Haas) Celmer, died Sept. 29, 1998.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Pochron) Celmer.
Celmer had been employed for many years by Western Electric Co., later AT&T Reading Works, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Celmer was a graduate of Reading High School.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Celmer is survived by a daughter, Donna M. (Celmer) Ruffner, Mohnton, and a son, Ted J., Wernersville.
Other survivors include a brother, Frank, Muhlenberg Township.
There are also six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
