Shirley A. Lutz, 74, Reading, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at 9:42 p.m., surrounded by her loving family and friends in the residence of her daughter, Brenda L. (Freeman) Hoyer of Reading. She was the widow of David W. Lutz, who passed away in 2006.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Blanche (Gehris) Ramer.
Shirley was a housekeeper at St. Joseph Medical Center for 14 years and at Community General Hospital for 10 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda L. (Freeman) Hoyer and Vicky L. (Freeman) Morrison, both of Reading; sons: Donald R. Freeman and Michael D. Freeman, both of Illinois; and John Angstadt, with whom she last resided; stepchildren: Krista Sheetz, Lisa Hart and James Lutz; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a brother, Claude Foreman, Allentown.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Robert Foreman; and stepson, David M. Lutz, in 1993.
The family will receive friends in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. Ninth St., Reading, on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605, in memory of Mrs. Shirley A. Lutz.
