Shirley Hillegas

Shirley Ann Hillegas, 74, of Reading, passed away July 29, 2009 at 9:30 am in St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of the late John F. Hillegas who passed away February 15, 1993. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Pauline(Roddenbush) Hassler. Mrs. Hillegas was employed by Whitner's Department Store in Reading in the cafeteria and later by Latese Purse Factory as a seamstress. She is survived by her son Richard L. husband of Mary Jane Hillegas and her daughters Joyce L. wife of Jose Rivera of Reading, Margaret L. Hillegas of Reading and Joann M. wife of Gilberto Torres of Reading. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren along with her sisters Miriam Seifert of Reading and Thelma Moyer. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda May(Hillegas) Paredas in 2004. Services and burial will be held privately.
