After a courageous battle with cancer, Scott D. Unger, 57, of Shillington passed with peace and grace on June 19, 2015 with his family by his side. Born in Reading, PA in May 1958 to Jack and Ruth Unger. He was the fourth of five children. He graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1976. He married Deborah (nee Suchoza) in 1978. They were married for 36 blissful years. Scott was a devoted employee at JC Ehrlich for 29 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Debbie; Children: Vanessa Unger-Haydinger and her spouse Andrew Haydinger of West Chester; Andrew Unger of West Lawn; and Sarah Unger and fiancAC.e Nathan Matthias of Reading. Other living relatives include mother Ruth; brothers Barry Unger of Mechanicsburg and Glenn Unger of Gouglersville; and 14 nieces and nephews. Scott is predeceased by his father Jack, brother Terry, sister Patricia, and nephew Kirk. A devoted family man, Scott enjoyed hunting, boating, golfing, working, and helping others. He looked forward to yearly family vacations with his wife and children. He also took pleasure in time with his extended family. He was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol.
