Rowena Smith

Rowena R. Smith, 90, of Douglassville, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Clyde H Smith who passed away December 5, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, Rowena was the daughter of the late Dennis McAvoy and Elizabeth Gray. She was a member of the Ladies AOH and women’s society at Immaculate. Rowena, loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attended all the school functions, plays and sports events.  She also enjoyed the shore and her day trips with her family. She is survived by two sons Christopher and Matthew Smith. Her two daughters Beth Green and Denise Jackson, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception B.V.M Church, 905 Chesnut Street, Birdsboro, Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00am. Reverend Monsignor John B. McCann, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Immaculate Conception B.V.M Church. Friday April 8, 2022 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
