Roland Heffner, Sr

Roland L. Heffner Sr., 69, died of natural causes Feb. 23 at 11:30 a.m. in his residence on North Fifth Street.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Elmer J. and Carrie E. (Knapp) Heffner.
Heffner was employed for 10 years as a roofer by Russell Baum Heating & Plumbing, Reading, retiring in 1999.
He was an Army veteran.
Surviving are two sons, Roland L. Jr., Womelsdorf, and James A., Reading; and a daughter, Donna M. (Heffner) Witwer, Youngstown, Fla.
Other survivors include a brother, Clayton, and a sister, Lillian (Heffner) Tucker, both of Reading.
There are also six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 8 p.m. in the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc.
