Roberta Metzler

Roberta Jay Metzler, 60, of Wyomissing, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 7:27 p.m. at Spruce Manor, West Reading, where she had been a patient for 27 days.
Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. Metzler and Elizabeth M. (Stokes) Metzler.
She was a 1968 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, and 1971 graduate of the LPN program at the Reading/Muhlenberg Vo Tech. In 1980, she received her Associates Degree in Accounting from R.A.C.C., and in 1984, graduated from Alvernia College with a BA in Accounting.
She worked as an LPN in private duty nursing for many years, and was a member of Reading Evangelical Free Church.
She is survived by her sisters: Linda L. and Debra S. of Blandon, Patricia L. of Muhlenberg Twp., Jeanne M. of Shenandoah; and a brother: Ronald J. of Leesport.
There are also nephews: Brian R. of Sinking Spring, and Robert L. of Leesport; and a grand niece: Emma A. of Sinking Spring.
Services Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. 9th St., Reading. Rev. Dean Linsky officiating. Interment in Good Shepherd Cemetery. Friends received Thursday from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
