Robert Gregro

Robert W. Gregro Sr., 79, of St. Albans Drive, Spring Township, died Dec. 14 at 2:30 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Nov. 18.

He was the husband of Elizabeth E. (Winters) Gregro.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Gerhart) Gregro.

Gregro had been employed for 15 years as a roofer with Local 30 Roofers Union, Bensalem, Bucks Township, retiring in 1987.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Gregro is also survived by a daughter, Christine M. (Gregro) Fish, Safety Harbor, Fla.; and two sons, Robert W. Jr., Exeter Township, and Gary D., Womelsdorf.

Other survivors include a sister, Arlene (Gregro) Stehman, Reading; and a brother, James H., Sinking Spring.

There are also six grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc., Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
