Richard Sweimler

Richard D. Sweimler, 78, of Bern Township passed away in his residence after battling colon cancer for 6 years. He was the husband of Ann L. (Babb) Sweimler. Born in Reading he was the son of the late Elmer and Mary(Miller) Sweimler. Mr. Sweimler was employed as a draftsman for Sanders and Thomas of Pottstown, Dana Corp., Gilbert Associates. He served in the Navy during Korea, was an avid bowler and one of the original Reading Bucaneers.

In addition to his wife Mr. Sweimler is survived by his daughters Kathleen A. wife of Dennis Mogel of Reading, Tammy A. Kochel of Reading and a son David M. Sweimler of Alburtis, PA, grandchildren Brian, Adam, Samantha, Lisa, Brianna and a great grandchild Riley and step great grandchild MacKenzie.
