Richard Donald Koch, 68, of Reading, passed away February 5, 2008 at 5:02 AM in his residence. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Huber) Koch.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Edna R. Koch Glass.
He was employed for 16 years in the streets department by The City of Reading until his retirement in December 2007.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 daughters, Sharon R. (Koch) wife of Robert Hartz of Bernville, April R. (Koch) companion of Ralph W. Shenk Sr. of Reading, Ann M. (Koch) wife of Ronald Gorey of Bethel, 2 sons Donald R. Koch II and his wife Kim of Womelsdorf and Todd M. Koch at home, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 4 sisters Dawn Showers of Ephrata, Carlotte Mallet of Reading, Joan Redcay of Topton, Dolores Grubb of Wernersville and a brother Robert Krick of Reading. He was predeceased by a brother Leon Bailey and a sister Geraldine Hoag.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 PM in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. 9th Street, Reading. Interment in Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
