Ralph R. Martin, 81, of Washington Street, died April 26 at 4:45 p.m. in the Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since April 2.
He was the husband of Betty (Green) Martin, West Lawn.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Robert and Florence (Hasson) Martin.
Martin was a self-employed free-lance artist for 15 years and was also employed as a security guard by the Olsten Staffing Services Inc., Wyomissing.
He was an Air Force veteran.
Martin was a Reading High School graduate.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Reading.
He is also survived by a son, Kevin W., Sinking Spring; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be private. Whelan-Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
