Pearl S. (Jackson) Johnson, 90, of Reading, passed away Saturday, November 1st at Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a patient for three months.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Charlotte Jackson, and widow of Ray W. Johnson, who passed away in 1957.
Survivors include her Companion of the last forty years: Miguel Colon; son: Ray W. Johnson Jr. of Reading; grandchildren: Willard D. George of Reading, Cheryl M. (Johnson) Brown of Exeter Twp., Rae D. Johnson-Bundy of Lancaster, Ray W. Johnson III of West Lawn, James Wilson, Barbara Johnson, Donna Jackson, Wanda Mugar, and William Johnson, all of Reading, and Alan Johnson of Atlantic City.
There are also eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister: Geraldine (Jackson) Miller of Reading, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is pre deceased by a son: William H. Jackson in 1985; grandson: Michael Johnson in 1986; six brothers: Paul, Eddie, Aaron, Gilbert, Charles, James; and two sisters: Helen and Mabel.
A Gathering of Friends will be held at the Fellowship Hall of Zion Baptist Church, 220 Washington St., Reading, Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
