Paul Long

Paul B. Long, a WWII veteran of the US Army, passed away at the Reading Hospital in the early evening on December 4, 2009 of natural causes.

Paul was born in Reinholds on March 9, 1923 to John F. and Anna (Bouder) Long. He was the youngest of 5. He had 2 brothers, Norman (Norge) and John (Johnny) and two sisters Helen and Amanda. Paul is a WWII veteran of the army and was trained as a paratrooper. He lived and worked most of his life in Lancaster and Berks Counties where he finished his career as a truck driver and member of the Teamsters. He retired from Berks Welding Supply in the mid 1980's and was most recently a resident at Manor Care Nursing home in West Reading.

Paul is survived by his 4 sons, Dennis, Lyle, Brent and Kent. Paul also left 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will hold a private memorial service for close family and friends.
