Paul Hoffmann Jr

Paul E. "J.R" Hoffmann Jr., 78, of Reading, passed away Wednesday, January 1st at 11:19 p.m. at St. Joseph's Medical Center.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Paul E. Hoffmann Sr. and Helen (Stott) Hoffmann.
He was the former husband of Isabelle M. Hoffmann of Reading.
He was a 1948 gradute of Reading High School, and a US Army Veteran during peacetime.
He worked as a truck driver for Motor Freight Express and later Yeager's Supply in Reading for many years, retiring in 1995.
He was a life member of the Lucky Star Club in Reading, and the Lower Alsace Fire Co.
In addition to Isabelle, he is survived by three daughters: Debra L. (Hoffmann) Forry of Reading, Diane L. (Hoffmann) Stankiewicz of Laureldale, and Daphnie L. Hoffmann of Reading, and a son: Douglas E. Hoffmann of Reading.
There are also six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
He is also survived by three brothers: Luther and Raymond of Florida, and Robert of Reading.
Services from the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. 9th St. Reading, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Victor A. Kroninger officiating. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends will be received Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
