Paul Gerhart

Paul Gerhart, 88, formerly of Reading, died June 8 at 3:05 p.m. in the Mifflin Center, Cumru Township, where he had resided since April.
His wife, Annabelle (Kulp) Gerhart, died in September 1986.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late William and Anna (Seibert) Gerhart.
Gerhart was employed for 23 years as a knitter by Rockwell International, Wyomissing, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Reading.
Gerhart was a life member of the Hampden Fire Company Beneficial Association and the Oley and Lower Alsace Township fire companies.
Surviving are three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Dolores (Gerhart) Hennes, in 1997.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
