Michael Strouse

Michael Troy Strouse, 38, of Reading, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been a patient since Friday.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Russell J. Strouse, husband of Cindy (McPherson) Strouse of Reading, and the late Mar Ann (Hitt) Strouse.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and enjoyed racing and going to concerts.
He had a wonderful zest for life.
In addition to his father and stepmother, he is survived by daughter: Zoey Strouse of Reading; grandmother: Anne Hitt of Laureldale: and siblings: Russell "Rusty" Strouse, Deborah (Strouse) Ortlip, Kimberly (Strouse) Sokol, and Mary McPherson, all of Reading; stepbrothers: Darius McPherson and Ryan Uphold, both of Reading; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephew, and great niece.
Friends will be received at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. 9th St., Reading, Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Caron Foundation Development Office, P.O. Box 150 Wernersville, PA 19565.
