Mary A. Billups, 72, Reading, died Dec. 24 at 11:13 a.m. in the emergency room of Reading Hospital, where she had been admitted earlier in the day.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Preston Hancock Sr. and Helen (Gutrick) Hancock.
Billups was employed for 30 years as a packer for the former David Crystal factory, retiring in 1994.
She was the vice president and treasurer of the George M. Rhodes Apartments Housing Committee.
Surviving are two daughters, Marlene Hancock and Tiffany Hancock, both of Reading.
Other survivors include a brother, Preston L. Hancock Jr., Reading; and five sisters: Ruth (Hancock) Dozier, Chester, Delaware County; and Diane (Hancock) Brown, Jane (Hancock) Fains, Drucilla Hancock, and Linda (Hancock) Allen, all of Reading.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz F.H. Inc. Burial will be in Birdsboro Cemetery.
