Mary Barlet

Mary Jane Barlet, 76, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away November 7, 2009 at 9:05 pm in ManorCare-Muhlenberg Township. She was the wife of Walter A. Barlet. Born in Tamaqua, PA she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Ella C.(Lynch)Norris. She was a 1950 graduate of J.W. Cooper High School in Shenandoah, PA and was employed by the Reading School District in Food Service for 31 years, retiring in 1994. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Barlet is survived by her son Steven A. husband of Karen L. Barlet of Sinking Spring along with her granddaughters Stephanie L. Barlet and Carolyn M. Belles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services from Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home 444 North 9th Street, Reading Wednesday at 11:00 am. Rev. Brydie L. Harris officiating. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday 10-11:00 am.
