Leon Wann

Leon W. Wann, 71, of Reading passed away August 2, 2008 at 4:30 pm in his residence of natural causes. He was the husband of Dolores E. (Schultz) Wann. Born in Reading he was the son of the late William K. and Helen (Tobolski) Wann. Mr. Wann was employed as a blocker for Penn Optical in Reading for 45 years retiring in 1999 and was a member of St. Lukes Luteran Church in Reading. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Leon J. husband of Terri Wann of Reading; Philip W. Wann at home; daughters, Linda W. wife of Larry Webber of Laureldale; Brenda M. wife of Brian Conrad of Reading; Vickie L. wife of Martin Grasley of Berwick, grandchildren Janessia; Tony Jr.; Brandon; Martin Jr.; Maranda; Brock; Samantha; Shelby; and Larry II, great grandchildren, Tony III; Angel; Janaya; Kegun; Janessa, Half sisters, Fern Moyer and Mary Wann of Reading. Mr. Wann was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Wann.

Services from Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home 444 North 9th Street Reading Thursday at 1:00 pm Rev. Bruce G. Osterhout officiating. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday 11:30-1:00 pm.
