Lelith Newman

Lelith R. Newman, 67, of Reading, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10:12 pm in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Lecent A. Newman. Born in Jamaica, Mrs. Newman was the daughter of the late George Griffiths and Claire Deacon. She was a member of Spring Valley Church of God and was a personal care giver at Country Meadows from 1997 to 2006. In addition to her husband Mrs. Newman is survived by her daughter Marsha A. Copeland, wife of James Copeland of Quakertown. She is also survived by her brothers Caryll "Barry" Gordon of Florida; Fitzroy Gordon of Florida; Everton "Freddy" Webley of Florida; Winston "Danny" Chislom of Florida; Samuel "Paul" Wynter of Florida; sisters Rosemarie "Rose" Depass of Connecticut and Lorene "Bobs" Tate of Connecticut along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Service will be held in Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Temple, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10:00 am. Reverend Robert E. Hinson will officiate. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends in Spring Valley Church of God Saturday 8:45-9:45 am.
