Lee Earl Morris Sr.

Lee Earl Morris Sr., 81, of Reading passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Martha (Drexel) Morris. Together they shared 65 years of marriage. 

Born on January 25, 1943, in Reading, he was the son of the late William & Emma (Turner) Morris. During his life, he worked as a machine operator for O.B Dyer in Reading and Narrow Fabrics until retirement. Lee was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren and family. 

Lee is survived by his wife Martha Morris, of Reading; son, Lee E. Morris Jr., of Reading; Daughters, Shirley Heckman, of Reading; Mary Fuentes, wife of Jose Fuentes, of Reading; Janet Harris, of Reading; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his sister Jane Yoh and brother William Morris Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home 444 North 9th Street Reading, PA 19601 on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm and on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 10:00am-11:00am. Service at 11:00am. Interment to follow to Berks County Memorial Gardens.
