Joseph Merolillo

Joseph Merolillo, 48, of Sinking Spring, passed away December 1, 2010 at 3:45am in the St. Joseph Medical Center following a sudden illness. Born in Monongahela, he was the son of the late Peter Merolillo and Frances (Bevacqua) Merolillo, and the husband of Leah C. (Leytem) Merolillo. Joe was a 1979 graduate of Ringgold High School. He worked in various restaurants in the Reading and Las Vegas areas. Most notably, Chi Chi's of Wyomissing for many years where he earned the nickname "Joey Chi Chi". Joe was a life long Steeler fan and avid golfer. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 children: a son, Skylar J. Merolillo of Sinking Spring and a daughter, Savannah V. Merolillo at home. There are 3 sisters: Geraldine Jordan of West Mifflin, PA, Susan Dillon of Donora, PA, and Cecelia Twining of West Mifflin. There are 2 brothers: Petey Merolillo of Monongahela and Robert Merolillo of Cambridge Springs, PA. Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of life gathering at 31 Michigan Drive in Sinking Spring on Sunday from 2 to 6pm.
