Joseph S. Koharcheck, 84, formerly of New Holland Ave., Shillington, died Sept 7 at 3 a.m. in Green Hills Manor, Cumru Township, where he had been a resident since April of 2001.
His wife, Helen Mae (Snyder) Koharcheck, died August 29, 1992.
Born in New Salem, Fayette County, he was a son of the late Stephan M. and Kathryn (Kolacki) Koharcheck.
Koharcheck was employed for 26 years as a manufacturer by Alexander's Hat Factory, West Reading, and for 24 years by Baldwin Brass, Reading, retiring in 1988.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Koharcheck is survived by a son, Stephan M., of Shillington.
Other survivors include a sister, Mary (Koharcheck) Vojtasek, Reading; and two brothers, William B., Kenhorst, and John J., Millmont.
There are also a grandchild and three great grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc., Reading. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.
