Jose Antonio De Jesus

Jose Antonio De Jesus “Papo”, 57, of Reading, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Born on August 15, 1966, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Hipolito De Jesus and Josefina De Jesus.

Jose loved fishing, riding his bike and watching wrestling. He never got tired of watching wrestling. Jose could see the same episode repeatedly. Above all, he was a very loving, caring and humble person. Jose will truly be missed. 

He is survived by his mother, Josefina De Jesus of Reading; children, Sherlyn De Jesus, Joshua De Jesus, Jahida Rodriguez; 5 grandchildren; Siblings, Ada Navarro, Jose Luis De Jesus, Andres De Jesus, Gilberto De Jesus, Juan De Jesus, Marissa Irizarry; and Half-Siblings, Nobert De Jesus, Hipolito De Jesus, Marangelis De Jesus, Victor De Jesus, Maria De Jesus; and goddaughter Ashton Selena Beltran and many other family and friends. 

Jose was predeceased by a granddaughter Princess Marie De Jesus.

The family will receive relatives and friends on on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home 444 North 9th Street Reading, PA 19601 from 10:00am-12:00pm.
