Jorge L. Lopez Cortes, 43, was pronounced dead Feb. 2 at 1:07 p.m. in his residence in Reading.
The cause of death is under investigation by the Berks County coroner's office.
Born in Villalba, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Miguel and Margarita (Cortes) Lopez.
Surviving are a son, Jorge L. Lopez Jr., Camden, N.J.; and a daughter, Karinette Lopez, Willimantic, Conn.
Other survivors include two brothers, Ronaldo Lopez, Reading, and William Lopez, in Puerto Rico; and four sisters: Ielma, Lulds and Magda Lopez, all in Puerto Rico; and Clarissa Lopez, Orlando, Fla.
There are also two grandchildren.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Cementerio Municipal de Villalba. Whelan-Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
