John S. Patton, 73, of Hugh Carcella Apartments, North 10th Street, died Sept. 24 at 10:45 a.m. in the residence of a son, Dean R. Patton, Mount Laurel Road, Temple.
Born in Temple, he was a son of the late Lewis and Emily (Kohler) Patton.
Patton was employed for many years as a steelworker by Birdsboro Corp., until his retirement.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he received three Bronze Stars.
Patton is also survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Patton) Bohn, Ontelaunee Township, and Debra (Patton) Kohl, Exeter Township; and three other sons: John P., Muhlenberg Township; Scott H., Temple; and Robert L., Exeter Township.
Other survivors include three sisters: Elizabeth (Patton) George, with whom he resided; Mary J. (Patton) Kintz, in Florida; and Emily V. (Patton) Freeman, Reading.
There are also nine grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Rev. Mark E. Brophy officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Friends may call Friday 10 to 11 a.m.
