John A. Caruso, 84, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 9:36 a.m. at the residence of his daughter Louise in Mt. Penn.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Joseph Caruso and Louise (Kutch) Caruso, and widower of the late Julia M. (Nigrelli) Caruso, who passed away January 29, 2005.
He was a 1943 graduate of Pottsville High School, and a U.S. Army Veteran during World War II.
He is survived by his daughters: Louise Caruso of Mt. Penn, and Kathy (Caruso) Marinucci of Reading.
There are also four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother: Lewis "Butch" Caruso of Blandon.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is pre deceased by a brother: Fred Caruso.
Private interment at Gethsemane Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
