Joan Clemmer

Joan L. Clemmer (Bowers), 88, of Shillington, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Mifflin Center. She was the loving wife to Robert L. Clemmer, who passed on November 9, 2017. Born in Reading, Joan was the daughter of the late Stewart Bowers and Kathryn (Madeira). Joan was a graduate of Reading High School and went on to work as a Case Worker Assistant for Berks County Children and Youth.

Joan is survived by her son, John S. Clemmer, husband of Georga L. of Sinking Spring, her grandchildren, Johnathan R. Clemmer, Chanelle M. Clemmer, and her great grandchildren, Zayne, Melina, and Vallerie.

In addition to her husband Robert, Joan is predeceased by her daughter, Patricia A. Morris.

A Graveside service for Joan will be held in Laureldale Cemetery, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Online condolences may be made at www.whelanschwartz.com
