Janice L. McKale, 71, died July 25 at 11:10 a.m. in her residence on North Ninth Street.
No ruling has been issued by the Berks County Coroner's office.
Her husband, Anthony L. McKale, died Dec. 17, 2000.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Allen E. and Mary A. (Werick) Huber.
McKale was employed as a waitress/bartender by Stokesay Castle and the Sinking Spring Veterans of Foreign Wars, retiring in 1972.
Surviving is a daughter, Linda C. (Kramer) Barbadoro, Stockbridge, Mass.
Other survivors include four brothers: Willard Huber, Bethel; Earl Huber, Schuylkill Haven; Ralph Huber, Wernersville; and Richard Huber, Chillicothe, Ill.
There is also a granddaughter.
Services will be private. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
