James L. Thomas, 67, died of natural causes Sept. 13 at 1:40 a.m. in his residence in Reading.
Born in Opelika, Ala., he was a son of the late Charley L. and Georgia B. (Fitzpatrick) Thomas.
Thomas was employed for 15 years as a laborer by Dick Thomas Trash Removal, Reading, retiring in 2002.
He was an Air Force veteran.
Surviving are two sons, James L. Jr., and Anthony C., both of Reading.
Other survivors include four brothers: Charles, William and Johnny, all of Reading; and Randolph, Plano, Texas.
There are also seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be private.
