James Priebe

James W. P. Priebe, 80, of St. Lawrence, passed away June 9, 2010 at 1:50 PM in Berkshire Center where he resided since September 19, 2009. Born in Reading on July 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Otto and Ruth (Weidner) Priebe. Mr. Priebe was employed as a police officer by the City of Reading for 22 years retiring in 1974. Surviving are a daughter Carol L. (Priebe) Fritz of St. Lawrence, 3 grandchildren 1 great grandchild and a sister Virginia (Priebe) Wertz of Cary, NC. He was predeceased by a sister Carmen (Priebe) Boardner and 3 brothers Fred, Rodney and O. Robert Priebe. Graveside Services will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Pleasant View Cemetery. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. 9th Street, Reading is in charge of arrangements.
