James Cass

James A. Cass, 91, of Ruscombmanor Twp., passed away July 23, 2010 at 6:47 AM in the residence of his niece Shirley J. Knittle. He was the husband of Catherine M. (Thomas) Cass who passed away July 19, 1993. Born in Stonersville on April 9, 1919, he was the son of the late James J. and Catherine R. (Deeds) Cass. Mr. Cass was employed as a finisher for 30 years at Stanley G. Flagg Co., retiring in 1982. Surviving in addition to his niece are a sister Barbara (Cass) wife of Elmer Young of Mohnton, a brother John Cass of Alabama and several other nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. 9th Street, Reading. Rev. Paul L. Jones will officiate. Friends will be received Wednesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Interment will be made in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
