Ida Marie A�a�A"SisA�a�A� Borst, 95, Reading, died Feb. 13, 2008, in ManorCare, Muhlenberg Township, where she had been a resident since September 2005. Born Dec. 31, 1912, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary (Haage) Borst; and a stepdaughter of the late Rose M. (Gross) Borst.
She worked for 48 years at R.H. DeTurk & Son Real Estate & Insurance in Reading, retiring in 1983.
She was a 1930 graduate of the Reading Standard Evening High School.
She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading, and was active in the former sodality and the Holy Family Society.
Survivors include two brothers, William J., husband of Ann H. (Jacisin) Borst, Reading; and Robert F., husband of Alice H. (Stark) Borst, Lancaster.
There also are 10 nieces and nephews; and 27 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul W. and Charles A. Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 151 N. Ninth St., Reading, PA 19601, with the Revs. Andrew A. Ulincy and Thomas Bortz as celebrants. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. Ninth St., Reading.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's RCC, at the above address.
