Henry G. Hill, 78, of Reading, formerly of Marietta, passed away December 13, 2007, after a short stay in Reading Hospital.
He was born in Corry, PA on December 26, 1929, the son of the late Henry and Eva (Loomis) Hill, Sr.
He graduated from Corry High School in 1948.
He married Jeanene (Brady) Hill on May 14, 1936. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading.
He was employed at Corry Memorial Hospital. Through the years he was employed by several trucking companies in the dispatch/billing departments. He was a manager of a drycleaner. He was a group home house parent. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Borough of Marietta.
He enjoyed time spent with his family and granddaughters. through the years he enjoyed family camping. He enjoyed restoring old homes. He enjoyed working with children especially as a camp counselor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Clara J. Hill and Opal (Hill) Miller.
Along with his wife of 53 years, he is survived by his daughter: Helene and her husband Richard Viola, three granddaughters: Naomi, Acacia, and Rebecca of Boyertown; son: David of Reading; and brother: Robert of Fresno, CA.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service Friday, December 21, at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 527 Washington St. Reading. Rev. Fred S. Opalinski officiating.
