Henry M. Brenner, 80, of Mulberry Street, died Jan. 7 at 9:12 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient one day.
He was the husband of Lois E. (Christian) Brenner.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Anna (Heller) Brenner.
Brenner was employed for 40 years as a truck driver by Motor Freight Express, Reading, retiring in 1982. He was also employed from 1983 to 1989 in the maintenance department in the Berks County Courthouse.
He was a past trustee of the Teamster's Union, Local 429.
Brenner was a past president of the Rainbow Fire Company.
He was a past union steward of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union, Local 462, Reading.
Brenner was a life member of the East End Athletic Association.
He is also survived by two daughters, Donna (Brenner) Krezdorn, Reading, and Shelly (Brenner) Wagonseller, Mohrsville; a stepdaughter, Patricia L. (Shaner) Reicherdt, Reiffton; and a stepson, Dale Shaner, Reading.
Other survivors include five grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a stepson, Paul Shaner.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Leesport Cemetery.
