Guaroa Pou, 69, Reading, formerly of New York, died Aug. 6, 2007, at 8:45 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, where he had been a patient less than a day. He was born Oct. 10, 1937, in the Dominican Republic.
He was a member of St. PaulA�a�a��s Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Surviving is a daughter, Mayra C. Simo, Reading.
Other survivors include a brother, Estevan Pou, in Florida.
There are also three grandchildren and a great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 1 p.m. in St. PaulA�a�a��s Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday, 4 - 6 p.m. and Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. Ninth St., Reading.
