Gertrude G. Cook, 95, formerly of Perkiomen Avenue, died Nov. 25 at 11:20 p.m. in the Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading, where she had resided two years.
Her husband, T. Preston Cook, died Aug. 4, 1963.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Steffenberg) Rathman.
Cook was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.
She was a volunteer for many years in the library at St. Catharine Elementary School, Mount Penn.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Catharine of Siena Chapel, Mount Penn. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
