George Zogas

George Zogas, 84, Reading, died Feb. 10, 2008, in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where he had resided one month. He was the husband of Arlene A. (Eich) Zogas, Reading.
Born Feb. 13, 1923, in Reading, he was a son of the late Peter Zogas and Helen (Slovenski) Zogas.
He worked as a tractor-trailer driver for many years for various companies in the Reading area.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Evelyn (Zogas) Shucker, Mount Penn, and Frances (Zogas) Noecker, Myerstown.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Georgeann Zogas.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
