George Pentland, Jr

George T. Pentland, Jr. 70, of Alsace Twp., passed away August 8, 2012 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD where he was a patient for 6 days. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George T. Sr. and Madeline O. (Marshall) Pentland. George was a 1960 graduate of Reading High School. He was employed at BARTA as a bus driver for 15 years, retiring in 2008. Mr. Pentland was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sinking Spring and was a US Army military police veteran. Survivors include a daughter: Sheenaw A. (Pentland) wife of Shane Weber of Alsace Twp.; and a son Donald A. Pentland of Reading and 4 grandchildren Zachary Seidel, Travis Slapkowski, Zara Slapkowski and Logan Weber.

Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park
