George Moyer

George E. Moyer, 82, Reading, passed away Feb. 12, 2008, in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.
He was the husband of his beloved wife, Jacqueline A. (Goodhart) Moyer, to whom he was married 58 years.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Albert and Helen (Klemmer) Moyer.
He was employed for 40 years as a parts counterman for Big A Auto Parts Store, Hyde Park, retiring in 1991.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He loved fishing.
He also is survived by a sister, Anna Mae (Moyer) Leisiz, Reading; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. Ninth St., Reading, with the Rev. Victor A. Kroninger officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605, in memory of Mr. George E. Moyer.
