Franklin J. A�a�A"RedA�a�A� Beam, 82, of N. 13th Street, died Aug. 19 at 8:15 p.m. at Laureldale Manorcare, Muhlenberg Township.
He was the husband of Carrie B. (Breidegam) Beam.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Efriam and Sarah (Undheim) Beam.
He was employed as a printer for 52 years at Reading Eagle Company until his retirement in 1998.
Beam was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.
Beam is also survived by two daughters, Nancy K. (Beam) Gresh, Shillington, and Susan D. (Beam) Waradzin, Reading; a son Gregory S., Reading.
There are four grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
